I was the only girl on an all-boys varsity soccer team. I had to change on the bus during away games because I didn’t have a locker room at other schools. I was not uncomfortable with that, actually. I did what I had to.
But one day I noticed that like three guys who were seniors were just staring at me as I did this and I must have shot them a dirty look because one of them (who is actually a family friend) was like “I’m sorry, I don’t mean to stare, but we’re still trying to figure out how the hell girls do that” and I just felt bad. They just want to get their girlfriend’s bra off without losing an eye and we can remove the whole thing like fucking wizards
This picture, plus the deal with his “parents” in the newest minecraft LP gave me an idea for an AU in which they all live in the Minecraft world, and Gavin was raised by creepers. He made clothes for himself to look like them. Then when he realized he couldn’t explode like they do, he discovered TNT and strapped that to himself to be a real creeper.
One day Geoff wondered into the forest where Gavin lived looking for materials for a house and found him there. Upon being approached Gav tried to blow himself up, like any creeper would, but Geoff managed to stop him and get rid of the TNT. Then, with some struggling, Geoff took him back to where he had started building a city and taught him how to be human. Once he accepted that he was human, Gavin helped him build Achievement City. His creeper upbringing accounts for his destructive nature.
Some time much later, he comes across a couple of creepers in the forest who approach him without exploding. They seem to recognize him, and they’re familiar to him as well. “Dad, is that you?” Unfortunately the ways of the creeper are mostly lost to him, so when he does the human thing and tries to build a house for them, they reject him and blow themselves up. :<
